St. John's Wort Salve

Soothing Salve with St. John’s Wort

Salve making can be a bit addictive.  I’m enjoying experimenting with different oils, butters, herbs, and essential oils to see what we can come up with.  I’ve had a lot of good response with this one. I’m loving it on my hands in the mornings. If you deal with any stiffness or soreness, this is great support. St. John's wort

Many herbalist turn to St. John’s wort to help soothe and ease discomfort, so it was pretty high on my list of herbs to add to salves. Herbalist Mary Bove has said St. John’s wort is well known for helping to diminish discomfort both externally or internally. Specifically as support to the nervous system, St. John’s wort is the herbalists go-to for a vast array of situations.

It works well to soothe muscles that are sore from over-exertion as well as easing shoulder, neck, and back discomfort. St. John’s wort’s ability to support a healthy inflammatory response can help soothe joints as well

As a bonus it can also supports healthy serotonin levels, so it lifts mood too!
